Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support and assistance to individuals in need of care. The ideal candidate will have experience in various caregiving settings, including home health, assisted living, and group homes. As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by assisting them with daily activities and ensuring their comfort and safety.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and changes in condition
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks
- Administer medications as prescribed and assist with care plans
- Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers
- Engage clients in memory care activities for those with Alzheimer’s or dementia
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities through direct support services
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
Skills
- First aid and CPR certification preferred
- Experience in home health, hospice care, or long-term care settings
- Strong patient observation skills to identify changes in health status
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for client mobility assistance
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is a plus
- Proficient in cooking and meal preparation tailored to dietary needs
- Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and vital sign assessment
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members
