Duties & Responsibilities:
Document daily participation of residents in scheduled programs
Promote the social, physical, and intellectual well-being of our residents.
Assist in planning, developing, organizing, and implementing the recreation programs of the facility.
Participate in community marketing events as needed
Assist with and follow through on the establishment of resident care goals within the framework of the entire team.
Communicate the residents' mood, behavior, or degree of involvement to the appropriate team members.
Perform administrative requirements as needed, such as audits, forms, and reports.
Help set up, break down, and decorate for resident and facility events.
Assist and transport residents to and from daily scheduled activities
Experience & Education:
Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent.
As a minimum, one (1) year experience in an Activities Department in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility or other related medical facility is preferred.
Specific Requirements:
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
Must have patience, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
Must participate in continuing education and inservice training.
