Job Role: E-commerce Onboarding Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and technically adept Customer Onboarding Specialist to join our Customer Success Team. Help new e-commerce merchants successfully launch on our platform. You will be the first point of contact after the sale, responsible for guiding clients through the setup, data migration, and training phases. Your mission is to ensure a smooth, positive, and rapid onboarding experience that lays the foundation for long-term retention
This is an On-site position in our Lyndhurst NJ office (occasionally it can be remote when needed)
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Implementation Leadership: Conduct welcome calls for onboarding/ramp-up meetings, manage onboarding projects, and guide customers through account setup, platform configuration, and API integrations.
- Catalog Setup: Guiding the upload of large product lists/inventories.
- Marketplace Connections: Connecting the platform to external channels like Amazon or Walmart.
- Data Accuracy: Ensuring inventory, pricing, and product attributes are mapped correctly.
- Platform Training & Education: Deliver personalized product training and demonstrations, helping users understand core features relevant to their business needs.
- Technical Assistance & Troubleshooting: Act as a technical expert to guide setup and assist with common API, integration, or configuration issues.
- Proactive Engagement: Monitor setup progress and proactively reach out to clients with low engagement to prevent onboarding delays.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales for a smooth handoff and provide feedback to Product teams to improve the user experience.
- Documentation & Process Improvement: Maintain updated customer documentation and help create a repeatable onboarding process.
Requirements & Skills:
- Experience: Ideally 2 years of experience in customer onboarding, implementation, or support, preferably in B2B SaaS or e-commerce.
- E-commerce Knowledge: Ideally some hands-on experience with Ecommerce operations platforms and marketplaces such as Shopify, BigCommerce, eBay, Amazon, Walmart, Target, TikTok, TEMU.
- Technical Aptitude: Basic understanding of APIs, XML, JSON, or CSV formats to assist with data imports.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, tracking milestones to minimize time-to-value.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts simply.
- Tools: Some experience with CRMs and onboarding/project management tools.
