Responsibilities

The VP of Property Management is responsible for the operational and financial success of the properties in the portfolio. This role will lead a team to ensure that results are achieved through effectively managing the performance of the properties with regards to financials, maintenance, revenue management, marketing plans, capital improvements and compliance with laws and company policies as well as provide support to the Regional Property Managers in interviewing, hiring, developing and assessing talent throughout the region to continually enhance the company’s number one resource, its people.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 12 years of progressive multifamily property management experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Demonstrated success leading Regional Managers, Regional Directors, and/or large multi-property portfolios within a third-party management environment.
  • Proven track record managing relationships with institutional and private ownership groups while delivering strong operational, financial, and asset performance.
  • Experience preparing and presenting Requests for Proposals (RFPs), participating in finalist presentations, and supporting new business development initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate client relationships, identify growth opportunities, and expand third-party management portfolios.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, financial statement analysis, revenue management, capital planning, and asset management.
  • Experience overseeing property acquisitions, due diligence, management transitions, and operational integrations.
  • Proven ability to drive occupancy, revenue growth, net operating income (NOI), resident satisfaction, and operational efficiency across diverse multifamily portfolios.
  • Experience leading lease-up communities, value-add renovation programs, and large-scale portfolio transitions.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Fair Housing regulations, landlord-tenant laws, risk management, and multifamily compliance requirements.
  • Experience partnering with institutional owners, developers, and investment groups.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills, with the ability to effectively engage clients, investors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven business decisions.
  • Proficiency with Yardi, RealPage, Microsoft Office Suite, and other property management platforms.

Additional Information

  • This position is primarily responsible for the Dallas-Fort Worth portfolio and requires minimal travel. Occasional travel may be required to support client relationships, business development efforts, leadership meetings, and portfolio transitions.
