Responsibilities
- Perform operational policy and procedure audits of apartment community leasing offices.
- Convey audit findings through reports to upper management.
- Teach training classes.
- Investigate theft and handle special projects as needed.
- Audit areas include, but are not limited to, resident and employee lease files, accounts payables, move outs, purchase cards, write offs, prepays, payroll, and cash management.
- Internal Auditors also assist in facilitating the on-boarding of newly acquired properties by ensuring that onsite operational and leasing activities continue without interruption.
- This position requires 50% out-of-town, nationwide travel
- Qualified candidates must have excellent communication and time management skills and be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Candidates must be well organized, detail-oriented and have the ability to multitask
- Candidates with Business Manager, Assistant Manager or Leasing Manager experience and a working knowledge of Yardi are strongly preferred
- OneSite and MRI experience is helpful, but not required
