Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Artisan English Muffin Baker to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the daily operations of our bakery, ensuring efficient production flow. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning the art and science behind creating artisan English muffins and contribute to a positive team experience. We are primarily a wholesale production bakery providing products for coffee shops, restaurants and resellers with the addition of some retail mail order business.
We start work at 6 AM on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, so being an early riser is essential.
This position starts out as part time, Monday through Wednesday, with the opportunity to expand hours to full time for the right candidate.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting in the preparation and baking of English muffins according to Willow Bend's precise standards while ensuring accuracy and consistency through quality control.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the bakery area, adhering to food safety regulations, and supporting all production aspects, including preparation and cleanup.
- Working with team members to ensure efficient workflow, especially during busy seasons.
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage positively with team members.
- Basic culinary skills and knowledge of kitchen equipment are advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for following precise formulas and weighing products.
