Willoughby's Coffee & Tea has a job opening for retail/cafe staff in our brand new Meriden, Connecticut store opening this summer. Of particular interest are those persons who may have customer service experience and an interest in our specialty. Flexible scheduling with weekend availability is necessary and a positive, customer oriented personality a must.
We are Connecticut's premier coffee roasting company; we sell freshly roasted coffee beans and have 4 busy retail stores with cafes. We take our coffee seriously but offer a fun place to work.
We are looking for a reliable, energetic, and customer-focused Assistant Manager / Barista to join our team! This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced café environment, has strong leadership skills, and is passionate about coffee and hospitality.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare high-quality coffee, espresso, and specialty drinks
- Deliver excellent customer service and create a welcoming environment
- Assist with day-to-day café operations and shift management
- Support staff training and maintain team morale
- Handle opening/closing duties, cash handling, and inventory
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the café
- Help ensure smooth operations during busy shifts
Qualifications:
- Previous barista or café experience preferred
- Leadership or management experience is a plus
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
