Role Description This is a full-time, remote Superintendent role responsible for overseeing multiple roofing and sheet metal projects from planning through completion. The Superintendent will coordinate daily field operations, including scheduling crews, managing subcontractors, and ensuring materials, tools, and equipment are available and used safely and efficiently. This role will monitor project progress, quality, budgets, and timelines, resolving on-site issues and communicating regularly with project managers, estimators, and clients. The Superintendent will enforce safety standards, conduct virtual and on-site inspections as needed, review drawings and specifications, and document work performed through reports, photos, and digital project management tools. The position requires regular remote coordination with field teams across serviceable areas, with periodic travel to job sites as project needs require.
Qualifications
- Experience in commercial and industrial roofing supervision, including familiarity with systems such as single ply, modified bitumen, BUR, standing seam metal, shingles, and roof coatings.
- Strong project coordination skills, including scheduling, resource allocation, and progress tracking across multiple concurrent jobs.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, submittals, and manufacturer installation guidelines.
- Demonstrated commitment to jobsite safety, OSHA awareness, and the ability to implement and monitor safety plans.
- Effective communication and leadership skills to direct field crews, collaborate with subcontractors, and maintain professional client relationships.
- Comfort with remote work tools, including project management software, digital documentation, and video/phone conferencing for daily coordination.
- Ability to troubleshoot field issues, identify risks early, and propose practical solutions that maintain quality and schedule.
- Prior experience as a Superintendent, Foreman, or similar field leadership role in roofing, sheet metal, or commercial construction.
