In this role, you will serve as a vital link between the school and our Spanish-speaking community, ensuring every student has the support they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Bridge Communication: Facilitate meaningful dialogue between Spanish-speaking families, teachers, and school administrators.
- Family Engagement: Host outreach initiatives, parent meetings, and family events to help families navigate middle school resources.
- Student Advocacy: Provide cultural guidance and support to students to encourage a positive, inclusive school environment.
- Resource Connection: Assist families in accessing essential educational, community, and district-level services.
Knowledge of the local educational system.
Must have a 2-year degree and 1-3 years of work-related experience.
Knowledge of community resources (i.e., mental health, public health services, etc.)
Knowledge of English and Spanish language.
Knowledge of school district policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Knowledge of cultural issues, concerns and community resources within the school district and its community.
Knowledge of the application and use of computers, business productivity software/applications such as Word, Excel, E-mail programs and other office productivity software utilized by the department in the performance of the job.
