Paralegal

We’re looking for a positive, detail-oriented, and professional Paralegal to support Willman Law Firm’s probate, estate planning, and guardianship/conservatorship practice. You will be a key point of contact for clients and a critical support to our attorneys—helping keep matters organized, meet deadlines, and prepare documents accurately and timely. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator with a solid work ethic who is interested in a meaningful role on a supportive team.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with clients in a professional, compassionate manner; gather information and documents needed for probate, estate planning, and guardianship/conservatorship matters.
• Draft and prepare legal documents for attorney review, including correspondence, engagement agreements, estate planning documents, and probate/guardianship pleadings and forms.
• Manage attorney calendars, including scheduling client meetings, signings, hearings, and court dates; track deadlines and follow-up tasks.
• Maintain and organize client files and legal records in both electronic and physical formats, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Coordinate with courts, clerks, financial institutions, and other third parties regarding filings, scheduling, and document requests.
• Prepare hearing/trial binders and supporting exhibits as needed.
• Handle incoming and outgoing legal correspondence, mail, and document distribution (including scanning, copying, and e-filing as applicable).
• Perform administrative and case-support duties including data entry, records management, and document filing.
• Utilize legal case management software and Microsoft Office applications to support attorneys and streamline workflow.

Qualifications:

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills with strong attention to detail.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills; comfortable handling sensitive situations with clients.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office; ability to learn and use legal case management software.
• Professional writing abilities with accurate spelling and grammar.
• Prior experience in a law firm or legal support role (legal assistant/paralegal experience preferred).
