What are the responsibilities and job description for the Morning Baker position at Williston Coffee Shop?
Williston Coffee Shop is looking for a part-time baker apprentice to join our team. This position would be Sunday - Tuesday starting at 4:30am. This position is responsible for baking off pastries for the day and some pastry production. We are a made from scratch coffee shop and bakery with a focus on fresh pastries and bread. Previous baking experience is a plus, but we are happy to train the right candidate. We're looking for someone reliable, motivated, and ready to learn.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, ensuring freshness and quality.
- Decorate pastries with precision and attention to detail.
- Assist with food production tasks such as mixing, measuring, and assembling ingredients for various recipes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food handling and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in baking, pastry arts, or food preparation within a commercial kitchen or bakery setting.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, knives, and other baking tools.
- Prior experience in food industry roles is highly desirable.
- Customer service mindset with the ability to work quickly while maintaining attention to detail.
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
