Job Summary
Assists with the administration of the foodservice program as multiple-site program according to policies and procedures, and federal/state requirements. Facilitates cooperation with education partners such as administrators, teachers, parents and students. Coordinates food service activities of the school district.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Maintains a purchasing system consistent with USDA and state purchasing guidelines, making purchases for all schools.
Enforces federal and state regulations regarding nutritional standards, reports and records. Maintains all records for required audits and reviews.
Interacts well with students, school personnel and public.
Participates in ongoing professional training.
Assists with the reviews of financial transactions and monitors budget to ensure efficient operation, and to ensure expenditures stay within budget limitations. Reviews and authorizes all program expenditures.
Ensures that established sanitation and safety standards are maintained. Maintains HACCP manual.
Investigates and resolves food quality and service complaints.
Assesses customer preference, industry trends and current research to develop a long-range plan that facilitates continuous program development.
Assists with the Coordination of all equipment purchases and maintenance with appropriate school district personnel or a private service worker and/or vendor.
Supervises operation of central kitchen. Responsible for meals provided to all schools.
Maintains menu planning workbook.
Inventories supplies and equipment.
Observe safety and security procedures, report potentially unsafe conditions.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
