John C. McDonald Regional Transplant Center is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Transplant Clinic as a Post-Transplant Coordinator. This role involves providing advanced nursing care to patients following solid organ transplantation. Responsibilities include:
- Assessing patient health and coordinating necessary diagnostic procedures
- Managing routine patient communications and follow-up care
- Identifying and responding to post-operative complications or abnormal findings
- Overseeing long-term health maintenance and surveillance
- Initiating re-evaluation processes when clinically indicated
Qualifications:
- Active Louisiana RN license
- Minimum of one year of professional nursing experience
- Critical care or transplant experience preferred, but not required
