What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Director of Nursing position at Willis Knighton Health?
The primary purpose of the position is to assist the Director of Nursing in the planning, organizing, development, managing and directing the day-to-day function/operations of the nursing department in accordance with current state and federal guidelines that govern the Live Oak Retirement Center (LORC). Additionally, individual positions may be directed by the DON, Administrator, or Medical Director to develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures that are necessary to provide quality of care.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- RN with a current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Louisiana
- Bachelor’s degree preferred and/or demonstrated skill/experience in leadership and management principles
- Technical and clinical abilities as obtained through preferred 5 years of professional experience in a skilled nursing facility or a general hospital setting
