Job Title: Sales and Leasing Consultant
Primary Function:
Under the direction and supervision of the Sales Manager, this position is responsible for selling vehicles at dealership gross profit, volume and customer satisfaction standards, while taking advantage of a high-volume inventory and aggressive compensation structure designed to reward top performers. Performs all duties within the objectives, standards, and policies of Willis Automotive.
Compensation & Performance Highlights:
• High performers have the ability to earn $200,000 annually through an aggressive, performance-driven pay plan.
• Aggressive commission structure designed to reward top producers and consistent performance.
• Average Sales Consultant sells 12 vehicles per month, with top performers exceeding that benchmark regularly.
• 600 pre-owned vehicles in inventory, providing strong selection and high sales opportunity.
• Ability to sell all brands, giving consultants flexibility to meet customer needs and maximize earning potential.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Understands that business is built on customer satisfaction; makes the commitment to always guarantee customer satisfaction.
• Works as a member of a well-rehearsed team showing utmost attentiveness and respect to colleagues and guests alike.
• Establishes personal sales and income goals that are consistent with dealership standards; develops strategies to ensure these are met consistently.
• Greets all customers in a professional and timely manner; ability to work with a diverse group of people.
• Determines customer needs by asking questions and listening.
• Keeps abreast of inventory, features, accessories, etc. and how they benefit customers.
• Prospects on a daily basis; maintains up-to-date information on prospects and customers in company database.
• Maintains a dealership sanctioned follow-up system to encourage repeat and referral business.
• Demonstrates vehicles (includes test drives).
• Coordinates the delivery process of sold vehicles to customers.
• Understands the terminology of the automobile business/industry and keeps current with changes in products.
• Understands the federal, state and local laws which govern retail auto sales.
• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings and Saturdays.
What We Need From You:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year successful sales experience.
• Strong ability and desire to perform in a high-volume, performance-based sales environment.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team-based environment.
