What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cook - Transit Middle School position at Williamsville Central School District?
27.5 hrs/wk
Initial hours of assignment: 5.5 hours/day (TBD)
10 months per school year
Responsibilities:
- Prepares and cooks soups, pizza, meats, vegetables
- Makes salads and sandwiches and a varity of other foods
- May serve prepared meals form the steam table
- Helps manager with inventory and may assist in food ordering
- Follows State and Federal Child Nutrition regulations
- Assist with cleaning all equipment and dishes
- Performs other tasks requested by the manager
Requirements:
- Required HACCP and Sanitation Knowledge
- Good knowledge of preparing foods in large quantities
- Equipment such as ovens, steamers, convection ovens
- Able to follow written and verbal instructions
- Good knowledge of safety and sanitation
- Good Organizational skills
- Dependability
- Ability to list 30-45 lbs. cases
- Good math skills
- Dependable
- Good communication skills
- Good with children
