Municipal Fund Accounting and Payroll Support Technician

FUND ACCOUNTING and PAYROLL SOFTWARE SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

A suburban Rochester company is looking to add a software support technician to install, train and support municipal software programs, with emphasis on fund accounting and payroll.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

• Education or experience in fund accounting principles and payroll processing.
• Knowledge of New York State Municipal Bookkeeping experience preferred.
• Provide phone/internet support to the client base.
• Mentoring personality, willingness to train customers with varying degrees of knowledge base.
• Implementation of products and custom integration software in a Microsoft Windows environment.
• Provide installation, training and follow up support to new and current customers.
• Ability to recognize and promote software enhancements.
• Ability to customize program for individual customer requests.
• Customer help desk/Technical Software Support experience desired.
• Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency necessary.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• Self-starter with ability to achieve and maintain productivity levels and deadlines.
• Exceptional attention to details.
• Ability and willingness to learn, adapt quickly and follow procedures.
• Professional representative of the company.

This is a Rochester, New York State based opportunity; applicants must be fully authorized to work in the U.S.
