What are the responsibilities and job description for the System Analyst position at Williamson County Government?
The Williamson County Emergency Management Agency is seeking applications for the position of full-time Systems Analyst. Under general supervision, this position is part of the team responsible for the provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software and related infrastructure for the Office of Public Safety (OPS). This position prioritizes and responds to support tickets and other technical issues throughout the Office of Public Safety and the Emergency Communications Staff to support the 911 communications center operations.
Education and Experience:
Applicants must demonstrate proficiency performing basic Microsoft Windows system administration, application installation, and end point network configuration. Possess an aptitude to perform trouble isolation and diagnostics in a fast-paced multi-faceted mission critical environment. The ideal candidate possess an Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, another related field, or possess one or more current industry recognized certifications along with 2 years of experience in performing similar duties as described above.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:
Must be able to lift 50lbs, climb ladders, traverse rough terrain, perform IT work on telescoping lifts, legally operate a motor vehicle, and operate emergency response equipment. Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team. Have the ability to hear and speak clearly in office environments, command posts and/or field settings during times of emergencies. Professionalism is vital as this position interacts regularly with response partner agencies and citizens. Candidate must be able to prioritize tasks effectively to meet established deadlines. Position is required to be on-call in the event of technology outages to ensure mission critical system operations and integrity. May be scheduled outside normally scheduled hours to support planned events occurring within the county and surrounding area. Daily work will be conducted in office settings, although exposure to environmental conditions and/or hazardous materials which may cause discomfort and pose a limited risk of injury for extended periods of time are possible.
