Overview
We are hiring skilled Finish Carpenters with high-end residential or commercial experience to join a team focused on high-end residential projects throughout the Greater Pittsburgh area. The ideal candidates will take pride in craftsmanship, have a strong work ethic, and be comfortable working on a variety of residential projects including new builds, remodels, and high-end interior finish work. We are looking for experienced finish carpenters who are able to manage their own scope of work. Ideal candidates would be able to solve problems and manage the unique challenges that arise during historic home renovations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Install and repair new and historic trim, millwork, cabinetry, doors, and other finish carpentry components
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and design plans
- Collaborate with other trades to ensure smooth job site coordination
- Assist with general remodeling tasks and installations
- Perform door hanging, flooring, tile laying, and occasional masonry work as needed
- Maintain tools and ensure job site cleanliness and safety
Requirements:
All Candidates Should Have:
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently or as part of a crew
- Physical ability to lift materials, work on ladders, and be on your feet throughout the day
- Reliable transportation; valid driver's license may be required depending on site location
Lead Carpenter and Foreman Roles:
- 5-10 years of finish carpentry experience preferred
- Ability to read technical drawings and lead or contribute to residential construction projects
- Skilled in trim installation, door and flooring installs, cabinetry, and remodeling
Pay: $25 - $50 / hour DOE
