What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Elementary School Monitor position at Williamson Central School District?
A probationary monitor position in the Elementary School. 9:20am - 3:20pm. Start 9.1.26.
- Monitors and supervises students in a variety of settings including but not limited to the cafeteria, playgrounds, hallways, foyer or classrooms.
- Maintains a constructive learning environment when working in the classroom/study hall/detention room settings.
- Maintains a safe and orderly environment for our students while on the playgrounds, in the cafeteria, study halls and hallways.
- Follows and enforces the rules set forth for playground behavior, proper use of playground equipment, dinning in the cafeteria, study halls, detention centers, etc.
- Works cooperatively with the Building Principal and teachers to be aware of expectations for student's behavior.
- Safely supervise students during their daily playground, lunch periods and study halls.
- Carries out any other duties as assigned by the building principal and/or responsibilities, which may be deemed appropriate by the classroom teachers.
- Assist in Attendance Duties
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma.
- Sincere interest in working with students.
- The ability to supervise, manage and control students in a variety of situations.
- The ability to write and/or keep accurate records.
