Records Technician, Level I

WCAD is responsible for appraising property at its fair market value, maintaining accurate ownership records and exemptions for property tax purposes.
WCAD has been recognized as a 2025 Top Work Place by the Austin American Statesman.
WCAD is seeking an enthusiastic team member who will serve the public by maintaining records relating to property ownership, attributes and research. This team member will interact with the public by phone, email and occasionally in person in order to serve and educate the property owners of Williamson County about property transfers, available exemptions and other property value related topics. This position requires a professional that is committed to attention to detail, learning about all facets of the Texas tax system and serving the citizens of Williamson County.
Education, Experience and Training
High School diploma or equivalent required. Candidate should have experience in data entry. Previous appraisal district, tax office, title company and/or customer service experience is preferred.

Work Environment
Regular and consistent attendance required. Work is primarily performed in the office with opportunities for occasional remote work, and requires public interaction by phone, email and the occasional in person meeting at the front counter. Some of those interactions can/may be emotionally charged. Entails periods of sedentary work and high volume of data entry.
