Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and serving meals and snacks according to resident dietary plans and facility menus.
- Ensure proper portion control and food presentation.
- Set up, deliver, and collect meal trays and dining room service.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dining areas, and equipment in compliance with state and facility regulations.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and equipment following safe food-handling procedures.
- Stock and organize food supplies and assist with inventory as needed.
- Work collaboratively with dietary and nursing staff to meet residents’ nutritional needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in food service, healthcare, or hospitality setting preferred (but not required — we’ll train the right person!).
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Must be dependable and able to work scheduled shifts, including weekends or holidays as needed.
- Knowledge of sanitation, safety, and infection control standards is a plus.
