What are the responsibilities and job description for the 7-12 Special Education Teacher-Potential position at Williamsburg Jr/Sr High?
Williamsburg Jr./Sr. High School is accepting applications for a jr./sr. high school (7-12) special education teaching position. Candidates with expertise and licensure related to behavior support are preferred, but the district is most interested in identifying a skilled teacher and willing collaborator who can join a really good team and blend skills and licensures to serve students with unique needs and strengths. Expertise in designing and delivering interventions that are targeted toward student goals, using assessment to inform their instruction, and helping students meet academic, behavior, and transition goals are highly valuable to the district. The successful candidate will welcome collaborative practice, serve as a member of a special education team, as well as contribute to content area teams on a regular basis. This position is one that provides great opportunities to directly impact students' and families' lives, to partner with professional colleagues, and to contribute to a culture of inclusion, growth and achievement at Williamsburg Schools. Candidates who are able to receive conditional licensure will also be considered.
