- Design and implement dynamic lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy education, math, physical education, and Head Start Performance Standards.
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies that encourage cooperation and respect.
- Support children’s social-emotional development by promoting communication skills, emotional regulation, and peer interactions.
- Conduct assessments to monitor each child's progress, utilizing tools such as standardized testing and formative evaluations.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to communicate student progress, address individual needs, and support early intervention strategies when necessary.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and safe toddler care practices.
- Incorporate special education techniques to support children with diverse learning needs and ensure inclusive classroom experiences.
- Proven experience working with children in preschool setting, with a strong understanding of childhood development principles.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management tailored for early learners.
- Knowledge of preschool curriculum, early intervention programs, and behavior management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet individual student needs while maintaining a nurturing environment.
- Prior experience in an early childhood education classroom is preferred.
- Be open to ongoing professional development goals
- Associates' or bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
- A Child Development Associate (CDA) Certification or Career Studies Certification in Early Childhood Education, and be enrolled in a degree program can be an alternative. This option requires the Office of Head Start approval with documentation
