Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Receiver to join our warehouse operations team. The Receiver plays a vital role in ensuring the accurate and efficient receipt, inspection, and documentation of incoming shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy, damages, and compliance with purchase orders
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks to load, unload, and transport goods safely
- Prepare items for storage by stocking shelves or designated areas following proper packaging and labeling procedures
- Assist with kitting sets for the upholstery line
- Ensure proper handling of goods during load & unload operations to prevent damage
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment adhering to safety protocols
- Support inventory control through regular stock checks and reconciliation using basic math skills
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse distribution processes
Experience
- Proven warehouse experience with a focus on receiving functions
- Hands-on experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, and pallet jacks
- Knowledge of warehouse distribution practices including order picking & packing
- Basic math skills for inventory counting and data entry accuracy
- Strong understanding of safety standards related to warehouse operations
- Prior experience with order picker equipment and packaging procedures is preferred
