Duties

• Assist with patient intake by collecting medical histories, vital signs, and current medications to ensure comprehensive records.
• Support physicians and healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, including dermatology treatments, X-ray procedures, and surgical interventions.
• Administer medications and injections following established protocols while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
• Operate and troubleshoot EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems for accurate documentation of patient encounters, diagnoses (ICD coding), and treatment plans.
• Conduct basic physiology assessments and monitor patient vital signs to identify urgent health concerns promptly.
• Support medical administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and patient education to enhance overall service experience.

Skills

• Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medication administration protocols.
• Excellent patient service skills with a focus on compassionate communication and attention to detail during intake and vital sign collection.
• Proficiency with EHR systems for accurate charting and documentation of patient information.
• Knowledge of urgent care protocols and experience supporting inpatient or outpatient care across diverse specialties including geriatrics and internal medicine.
