What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tax Analyst III - Sales & Use position at Williams?
As a Tax Analyst III, you will focus on improving compliance processes and prepare sophisticated tax returns. You will collect and analyze data vital for tax compliance and record the effect of taxes in the financial statements. The ability to work in a team environment, connect and collaborate with others, and adapt to changes in priorities and work direction are keys to success!

Responsibilities / Expectations :
- Prepares tax returns, researches and identifies tax issues and potential tax savings
- Completes tax compliance with appropriate accuracy and efficiency
- Prepares, analyzes, reconciles balance sheets and records tax entries needed for financial statements
- Responds to notices / general inquiries and assists with audit inquiries
- Prepares and provides reports and data and presents to stakeholders
- Makes recommendations for process improvements and efficiencies
- May mentor others
- Reviews transaction tax returns (sales, use, excise , PERC, LPG, CAT, etc.) and reconciliations
- Helps maintain tax software (Vertex)
- Completes internal and external audits
- Reviews invoices and / or purchase orders and provide appropriate exemptions
- Other duties as assigned
