As Maintenance Technician I, you’ll work with a team of technicians to perform a variety of tasks, including day to day maintenance and operations of the HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems for our headquarters building. Knowledge of building operations, HVAC systems, and a focus on safety are keys to success in this role!

Responsibilities/Expectations:

  • Operates, maintains, and repairs mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other related equipment to ensure its safe and efficient operation
  • Responds to tenant requests in a courteous and efficient manner and report unresolved issues to Foreman/Lead
  • Takes readings on equipment regularly, analyzes readings, and makes adjustments to equipment as needed
  • Maintains and operates chillers, boilers cooling towers, and related equipment
  • Solves problems with building fire and energy management systems
  • Inspects and tests elevators, fire pumps, generators, carbon monoxide sensors, and other facility equipment
  • Other duties as assigned

Education/Years of Experience:

  • Required: Two (2) year degree from Vocational/Technical/Business school or high school diploma/GED with equivalent experience; a minimum of six (6) years in the HVAC industry to include installation, repair or maintenance with a minimum of five (5) years in building operations

Physical and Environment Work Requirements:

The ability to:

  • Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
  • Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed
  • Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
  • Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
  • Use hand tools

Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements:

  • Must be able to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holiday as needed
  • Examples of rotating shifts include the following:
  • Weekends: 7pm -7am and Thurs. and Fri. 3pm - 11pm
  • Weekends: 7am-7pm and Mon and Tues 3pm - 11pm
  • Mon. – Fri.: 7am-3pm, 3pm - 11pm, 11pm - 7am
  • May be required to work overtime

Other Requirements:

  • Must have Mechanical journeyman license with the State of Oklahoma, a State Boiler Operator license, and a first class limited Engineer's license
  • Must possess an EPA refrigerant certification
  • Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
  • Needs basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
  • This role includes work performed within a facility regulated by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC). Accordingly, successful completion of a background investigation conducted through the FDIC is required as a condition for obtaining an additional access badge. Additional screening measures may also apply

, Responsible for the day to day maintenance and operations of the HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems for the facility. Maintains and operates chillers, boilers, cooling towers, and related equipment. Makes readings on equipment regularly, analyzes readings, and makes adjustments to equipment as necessary. Monthly test fire pumps and generator, inspects and tests elevators for compliance with codes, and calibrates carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide sensors. Troubleshoots and repairs the buildings fire and energy management systems. Inspects and repairs of window washing equipment. Has developed in-depth technical skill and is able to solve complex problems.
