Revenue Accounting Analyst II
Responsibilities
- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, management reporting, variance analysis, and SEC reporting support.
- Support monthly, quarterly, annual, and invoice-closing processes.
- Prepare and maintain schedules, reports, analyses, and supporting documentation for internal and external customers.
- Prepare and maintain deferred revenue schedules and analyze revenue activity, volumes, trends, and variances.
- Process, reconcile, and analyze large volumes of financial and operational data.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
- Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and explanations.
- Identify and implement process improvements through automation, technology, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in projects and serve as a resource to less experienced team members.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and improve business outcomes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Revenue Accounting Analyst II
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with a strong accounting focus.
- Minimum two (2) years of accounting experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial analysis skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and operational excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with a strong accounting focus.
- Minimum four (4) years of accounting experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial analysis skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and operational excellence.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
- Experience in revenue accounting or in the energy industry.
- Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experience with Oracle and/or Hyperion Financial Management (HFM).
- Ability to work overtime during critical monthly, quarterly, and annual close and reporting cycles as needed.
- Ability to promote effective collaboration and communication across departments and business functions.
