William Tank Lines is looking for a Transportation Dispatcher for their corporate office in Bakersfield, CA.
We are one of the largest for-hire bulk petroleum carriers in California. The company operates over 150 Trucks and Trailers out of 9 different locations in California and 2 locations in Nevada.
The schedule is 6 P.M. - 6 A.M. on a 4 on - 4 off rotation AFTER TRAINING
The dispatcher is responsible for receiving incoming calls, directs and facilitating arrangements in accordance with our customer's needs utilizing TMW Suite and PeopleNet and e-mails.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Experienced with heavy phone systems
- Route planning
- Heavy dialing
- Inventory
- Web browsing
- Data Entry
- Using computer audit electronic driver logs
- Ability to sort or classify information according to guidelines such as content, purpose, user criteria, chronological, alphabetical, or numerical order
Position Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, & Outlook
- Problem solver
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Interpersonal skills
- Logistics experience preferred
- Knowledge and a general understanding of the Trucking Industry
- Must be detailed oriented and organize
- Demonstrates reliability
- Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively
- DOT and HOS Knowledge preferred
