You’ll be excited about this opportunity because you will....
- Read and understand production tickets and be able to interpret simple sewing instructions commonly placed in a sewing manual.
- Sew Flat in upholstery.
- Ability to double needle sew, top stitch, and serge, cushion, flat, slipcover, borders, and zippers.
- Making sure the sewing is straight and in alignment with cover pattern with no dropped stitches.
- Note: This job description reflects essential functions, it does not prescribe or restrict the number or types of tasks that may be assigned or reassigned during the conduct of business.
- At least 3 years of experience in fabric sewing for upper end upholstered furniture.
- Experience in production of upper-end upholstery fabric sewing in an upholstered furniture manufacturing environment.
- Work in a manufacturing and fast-paced environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Good communication skills-oral and written.
- Ability to keep accurate records.
- Ability to follow documented procedures and standards.
- Ability to frequently lift bundles of approximately 50-60 lbs.
