Job Summary
The Production Worker supports the fabrication, assembly, and finishing of custom signs. This role involves operating sign shop equipment, preparing materials, assisting with installation prep, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace. Ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work and learning multiple aspects of sign production in a small-team setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the production of custom signs, including cutting, assembling, and finishing materials such as vinyl, aluminum, acrylic, PVC, and wood
- Operate and assist with equipment such as vinyl cutters, printers, laminators, application tables, and hand tools (training provided as needed)
- Apply vinyl graphics and decals accurately and neatly
- Prepare signs for installation, packaging, or customer pickup
- Perform basic quality checks to ensure products meet company standards
- Read and follow work orders, drawings, and instructions
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area
- Assist with inventory organization and material handling
- Support installation teams as needed (optional or occasional, if applicable)
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
- Prior experience in sign manufacturing, printing, or production is a plus, but not required
- Ability to use hand tools and learn machinery operation
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
