William Civil Construction is hiring Heavy Equipment Operators to join our team working on utilities and site development projects. If you’re comfortable in the seat of a dozer, excavator, or loader - and know how to get the job done safely and efficiently - apply today!
What You’ll Do
- Operate equipment like excavators, dozers, loaders, blades, haul trucks, and water trucks
- Work on a variety of projects including utilities, grading, and site prep
- Identify and avoid underground utilities before digging
- Adjust to changing job site conditions and solve problems as they come up
- Keep basic time and material records
- Travel from interstate highway to rural dirt roads from various locations
- Most importantly: look out for your crew and keep safety top of mind
- Experience operating heavy equipment in a construction setting
- Understanding of trenching and shoring basics
- Familiarity with materials (aggregates, load weights, etc.)
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate with your team
- Basic math skills for measurements and quantities
- A strong work ethic and willingness to adapt day-to-day
