Maintenance Specialist

Pay: $16.00–$18.00 per hour, based on experience

Williams Hotel Group is seeking a dependable and hands-on Maintenance Specialist to join the team at La Quinta by Wyndham Valdosta. This position is responsible for maintaining guest rooms, common areas, equipment, and building systems to ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for our guests and employees.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel and guest rooms.

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and guest room issues.

• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and other hotel equipment.

• Inspect guest rooms and common areas to identify maintenance needs.

• Repair or replace fixtures, furniture, doors, locks, lighting, and other hotel components as needed.

• Assist with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building repairs.

• Maintain the hotel’s exterior areas and assist with grounds maintenance when needed.

• Keep accurate records of completed maintenance work.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance area.

• Follow all company safety procedures and report safety hazards immediately.

• Assist with emergency maintenance situations and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel maintenance or general maintenance experience preferred.

• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building repairs.

• Ability to troubleshoot problems and determine appropriate solutions.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance requests.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work.

• Dependable, punctual, and professional.

• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, coworkers, and management.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and supplies as required.

• Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays when needed.
