What You’ll Do
As a Drafting / CAD Technician, you will play a key role in designing and laying out fire sprinkler systems that protect lives and property. Your responsibilities include:
- Design & Layout: Create fire protection system designs using specialized software (Autosprink, Hydracad, Autocad, Bluebeam).
- Calculations: Perform accurate calculations to ensure system performance.
- Coordination: Work closely with contractors and other trades to integrate sprinkler piping with building components.
- Document Review: Read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Project Support: Coordinate material deliveries and assist installation teams for timely project execution.
- Field Verification: Conduct site checks to confirm design accuracy and compliance.
- Compliance: Apply NFPA standards based on building type, hazard classification, and architectural features.
What We’re Looking For
- Proficiency in Autosprink or AutoCAD design software.
- Strong understanding of construction documents and specifications.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel).
- Desire to pursue NICET certification.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Valid Driver’s License (required).
- Team-oriented mindset with attention to detail.
