Williams NationaLease is hiring an Entry-Level Shop Support & Maintenance Tech for our PM shop in Normal, IL.
Every day, our fleet keeps goods moving and customers served. Our PM team plays a critical role in making that happen by ensuring trucks are safe, serviced, and road-ready before they leave the yard. We're looking for someone who is hardworking, dependable, motivated, and able to work independently while knowing when to ask questions. A positive attitude and strong work ethic go a long way here. Experience working on vehicles, equipment, machinery, or farm equipment is a plus. If you've spent time helping with maintenance, repairs, or troubleshooting mechanical issues, we encourage you to apply.
Position Requirements
- Auto or diesel mechanical experience preferred
- Tractor-trailer experience is a plus, but not required
- Basic hand tools and toolbox preferred
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to learn and work in a team-oriented shop environment
Pay & Schedule
- $20-$23/hour based on experience
- $2/hour shift differential
- Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-11:30 PM
- Saturdays as needed
- On-call rotation with additional pay opportunities
What You'll Do
- Perform preventative maintenance on tractors and trailers
- Change oil, filters, and fluids
- Assist drivers with breakdown support and troubleshooting
- Help keep the shop clean, organized, and running efficiently
- Prep, wash, and clean trucks
- Learn and develop valuable diesel maintenance skills
