Incumbents must be able to perform the essential function of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.Delivers professional customer service as the first point of contact for the Sheriff’s OfficeAnswers phone calls, responds to emails, and greets walk-in trafficProvides general information and assistance while ensuring compliance with applicable open records law and departmental policies; refers technical questions to appropriate staffProcesses payments for bonds and civil process services; handles cash and creates receipts; updates and submits cash reportsPerforms general office duties including answering phones, filing, document preparation, and forms processing using a computer and office equipmentEnters and updates data and records in systems, including scanning and uploading documents to maintain complete recordsAssists civil process division in processing documents as neededProvides coverage and assistance across office functions during staff absences or periods of high workload Maintains confidentiality of non-public records and makes available all data and information deemed a public record by the North Dakota Century Code.Typical QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED and two (2) years of clerical or administrative experience in an office setting; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experienceMust pass a thorough background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening Compensation:Starting Salary ranges from $23.10 to $25.18/hour based on experience and training.
