Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our fast-paced dealership team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact between customers and our service department, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for every client. Your enthusiasm for automotive repair, combined with excellent communication skills, will help drive customer satisfaction and loyalty. You will coordinate vehicle repairs, provide accurate estimates, and promote additional services to maximize customer value while maintaining high standards of professionalism and efficiency.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
• Explain repair procedures, estimated costs, and timelines clearly to clients, ensuring transparency at all times
• Utilize estimating software to prepare accurate service estimates and communicate options effectively
• Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services
• Upsell additional maintenance or repair services based on vehicle diagnostics and customer needs
• Manage service writing tasks, including creating detailed work orders and updating repair statuses regularly
• Conduct automotive diagnostics using specialized tools to identify issues related to transmissions, suspension, brakes, tires, shocks & struts, oil changes, alignments, collision repairs, and other automotive systems
• Maintain detailed records of all transactions, including cash handling when applicable
• Foster strong client communication by providing updates on vehicle progress and addressing any questions or concerns promptly
• Promote dealership services through proactive sales approaches while ensuring customer satisfaction remains the top priority

Skills

• Proven experience in auto service management or as a service technician with strong mechanical knowledge
• Familiarity with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools
• Solid understanding of automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and vehicle maintenance practices
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
• Ability to upsell services confidently without compromising integrity or customer trust
• Knowledge of dealership operations including sales processes and cash handling procedures
• Experience in collision repair estimation and auto estimating systems is a plus
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple service orders efficiently
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for test drives or vehicle inspections as needed
