We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to provide DevOps architecture and technical leadership for secure, mission-critical containerized applications. The successful candidate will design and modernize Docker-based microservices environments while guiding engineering teams through implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture of Docker-based microservices systems.
- Create architectural designs, deployment models, and interface documentation.
- Establish DevOps standards and engineering best practices.
- Guide CI/CD, infrastructure automation, orchestration, security, and monitoring strategies.
- Partner with software, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and program teams.
- Evaluate system performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
- Lead architecture reviews and mentor engineering teams.
- Develop platform-modernization and sustainment roadmaps.
Required Qualifications:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with CI or Full-Scope Polygraph.
- Bachelor’s degree with at least nine years of relevant experience; graduate degree with at least seven years; or at least 13 years of relevant experience without a degree.
- Strong experience with DevOps architecture, Docker, and microservices.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and automated deployments.
- Strong technical leadership and communication skills.
- Must be a U.S. citizen due to security-clearance requirements.
- Must be able to work fully onsite in Palm Bay, Florida.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, or similar orchestration platforms.
- Knowledge of API design and secure service-to-service communication.
- Experience producing detailed architectural and technical decision documents.
