Employment Type: Full-Time, W-2
Pay: $65–$69 per hour, based on qualifications and experience

Position Overview

We are seeking an Expert Systems Architect to lead the design and development of a custom application supporting a government housing assistance program. The application will replace an existing third-party system while preserving its functionality.

This role requires strong application architecture skills, hands-on .NET development experience, and the ability to guide developers and collaborate with business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop the new custom application.
• Research technical solutions and provide architectural reviews and direction.
• Create UML diagrams covering the proposed system throughout its development lifecycle.
• Mentor and guide the .NET development team.
• Establish and monitor project goals, manage daily priorities, and provide status updates.
• Collaborate with technical and nontechnical stakeholders to define requirements and resolve issues.
• Prepare technical documentation for applications and related systems.
• Support additional priority applications and projects as needed.

Required Qualifications

• At least 84 months of relevant professional experience, demonstrating the ability to guide large teams and/or extensive industry experience at an expert level.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 84 months of experience designing application architecture and developing and deploying n-tier ASP.NET web applications using VB.NET, web services, and Windows Communication Foundation (WCF).
• 84 months of experience analyzing business processes and workflows and working with nontechnical staff to develop system specifications and resolve issues.
• 60 months of experience with Oracle and PL/SQL packages, including SQL programming and JSON.
• 36 months of experience designing accessible web interfaces using Angular Single Page Applications (SPA), Redux, and Angular versions 9–14.
• 24 months of experience developing applications for government human services eligibility systems.
• 36 months of experience using object-oriented principles and concepts to design business objects.
• 36 months of experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• 36 months of experience developing applications using ASP.NET MVC.
