Position Summary
Design and layout a variety of communication and marketing pieces (e.g., logos, fliers, programs, brochures, post cards, webpages). Create design concepts and mock ups (e.g., color palettes, custom banners, graphics and other design elements). Provide design support for websites and social media.
Required Qualifications
- Exceptional knowledge of visual and graphic design principles and the creative process
- Demonstrated experience and success producing thoughtful and compelling design concepts for a broad range of projects including print and digital design elements
- Mastery of key Adobe Creative Suite products (Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator)
- Knowledge of and experience with office productivity tools
- Excellent organizational, consulting, interpersonal, and communication skills, with evidence of on-going professional development and commitment to excellence in a team-oriented environment
- Exceptional customer service, presentation, facilitation, problem solving and collaboration skills
- An undergraduate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous illustration experience
- Previous web design experience
- Previous photography experience
- Experience working in a higher education environment
- Knowledge of project management methodology and concepts including work on cross-functional teams
