Job Title: Interim Executive Director - Fractional

FLSA: Non-Exempt

Status: Part-Time

Location: Remote

Schedule: approx 5 -7 hrs per week role. Chose your own hours.

Fractional Interim Executive Director – Featherstone Foundation

The Fractional Interim ED provides strategic and operational leadership to the Featherstone Foundation during a leadership transition, ensuring continuity of mission, organizational stability, and effective execution of programs that expand educational opportunities and impact.

The Interim ED's highest priority is advancing the Foundation's fundraising strategy, with a particular emphasis on securing foundation grant funding. Responsibilities include identifying and cultivating grant opportunities, strengthening relationships with foundation partners, overseeing grant development and stewardship, and collaborating with the Board of Directors to diversify and grow philanthropic support. The Interim ED is accountable for increasing institutional funding, strengthening the Foundation's financial sustainability, and positioning the organization for long-term growth.

Additional responsibilities include providing financial and operational oversight, supporting governance and board engagement, managing staff and key partnerships, monitoring organizational performance, and preparing the Foundation for a successful transition to permanent executive leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the organizations' day to day operations
  • Lead effective team of 3 by providing guidance and coaching to program directors, managers, officers and consultants.
  • Design, manage and implement quality programs that support underserved communities.
  • Direct and oversee fundraising efforts, through fundraising events, solicitation letters and grant applications
  • Forge and maintain relations of trust with shareholders, partners, community organizations, and funders
  • Act as the public speaker and public relations representative of the company in ways that strengthen its profile during meetings and events.
  • Review final and mid-progress program reports by subordinate managers and submit them to funders.
  • Develop monitoring and evaluation processes to capture the impact of programs.
  • Review and manage program budgets

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Salesforce, Canva, Airtable, Quickbooks, experience are a plus

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

· Strong knowledge of MS Office suite. Advanced knowledge of Outlook, or other calendar management programs.

· One year of experience working with databases.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to:

· Sit, use hands to handle or feel and talk or hear.

· Reach with hands and arms.

· Stand, walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

· Must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $1,000.00 - $1,500.00 per month
