Primary Duties And Responsibilities
Leadership & Culture
- Establish a program identity grounded in academic excellence, competitive success, and character development.
- Provide mentorship and leadership that supports the holistic growth of student-athletes.
- Design, implement, and evaluate daily training sessions, game strategies, and player development plans.
- Maintain a high standard of technical, tactical, and physical preparation for competition.
- Identify, recruit, and retain student-athletes who align with the College’s academic and athletic standards.
- Manage all aspects of recruiting communications, evaluations, and campus visits in compliance with NCAA and GLVC rules.
- Oversee team budget, travel coordination, equipment inventory, and facility scheduling.
- Collaborate with strength & conditioning, athletic training, and academic support staff to optimize student-athlete success.
- Participate in departmental initiatives, community engagement, and fundraising activities in alignment with institutional priorities.
- Ensure full compliance with all NCAA Division II, GLVC, and William Jewell College regulations.
- Maintain proper documentation, reporting, and adherence to institutional procedures.
- Serve as a visible ambassador for the athletics department and College.
- Engage alumni, donors, and fans to enhance program visibility and support.
- Develop and execute a fundraising strategy to increase revenues to enhance the student-athlete experience.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated coaching experience in women’s soccer (collegiate, club, or professional).
- Strong understanding of NCAA rules and a commitment to compliance.
- Proven ability to recruit and develop student-athletes.
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Master’s degree in a related field.
- NCAA Division II or higher-level coaching experience.
- Demonstrated fundraising and community engagement experience.
- CPR/First Aid certification.
