WORK SCHEDULE: Mon-Fri: 9am - 5pm, one late night: 11am - 7pm. Saturday as needed.
COMPENSATION: 175K - 200K
Position Overview:
The Chief Nursing Officer is the executive leader, accountable for nursing practice, clinical support operations, and patient safety across Ryan Health Network. This role drives high-reliability performance in ambulatory care, ensures team-based care at the top of license, and advances outcomes tied to HRSA UDS, PCMH recognition, and payer quality programs. The Chief Nursing Officer partners closely with the Chief Medical Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Human Resources, and Site Leadership to standardize workflows, elevate nursing competencies, strengthen regulatory readiness, and steward budgets and workforce plans that sustain access, quality, equity, and patient experience. This work is carried out in support of the mission and goals of Ryan Health.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement network-wide operating plans for clinical support services, including competency frameworks, staffing models, and float pools.
- Establish evidence-based policies and procedures for medication administration, infection control, emergency preparedness, and telehealth workflows.
- Lead QA/PI initiatives, monitor dashboards, and implement corrective actions to meet HRSA UDS and PCMH standards.
- Ensure continuous compliance with Joint Commission, NCQA PCMH, OSHA, and state DOH requirements.
- Serve as Risk Manager; lead incident investigations, RCA, and CAPs; oversee environment-of-care rounds and emergency drills.
- Collaborate with HR and IT to create modular training programs and competency tracking systems.
- Prepare and manage operating and capital budgets for clinical support services.
- Represent Ryan Health in external forums and build community partnerships to advance nursing leadership and patient outcomes.
Minimum Experience and Skills Required:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing; BSN required; Master’s Degree strongly preferred.
- 10 years of progressive leadership in ambulatory/primary care or community health; Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) experience strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in survey readiness and QA/PI initiatives tied to measurable outcomes.
- Expertise in infection prevention, medication/vaccine management, emergency preparedness, and telehealth integration.
- Proficiency with EHRs and data-driven management; strong budgeting, change management, and communication skills.
