Put your craftsmanship to work on vessels that matter

What if your systems expertise helped a fire crew reach an emergency faster, enabled a scientist to collect data offshore, or powered a patrol intercept? At Munson Boats, we build welded aluminum boats for worldwide clients—including fire/rescue boats, research vessels, high-speed patrol craft, and USCG-certified passenger boats. In our meticulously organized, radiant floor–heated facility, you’ll join a 3–4 person team to outfit a single, highly customized vessel from bare hull to final handover. With a project backlog extending beyond two years, you can count on stable, year-round work.

Your mission

  • Install and integrate complete mechanical, electrical, navigation, communication, propulsion, and plumbing systems using brand-new components.
  • Set up and service diesel and gasoline engines, pumps, hydraulics, generators, HVAC, and fuel systems.
  • Fit steering, controls, and critical marine hardware with precision.
  • Read and apply installation instructions, system diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Hold each install to rigorous safety, performance, and quality standards.
  • Own your space—organized, safe, and ready for inspection at any time.

What it takes

  • Experience installing mechanical, electrical, or multi-system equipment.
  • Working knowledge across engines, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Self-directed, collaborative, and dependable within a small crew.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and a commitment to exceptional craftsmanship.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a physically active environment.

Schedule

Full-time, four 10-hour days: Monday–Thursday. Enjoy a three-day weekend every week.
