- Assist the university in implementing the Statement of Purpose.
- Assist the university in implementing the long-range institutional and financial plans.
- Specific duties are as follows:
- Serve as an administrative assistant for all incoming calls to the Financial Aid Office.
- Greet prospective students and parents and notify appropriate staff of their arrival.
- Respond to all requests for financial aid materials.
- Maintain a professional atmosphere in financial aid waiting area by ensuring an adequate supply of all financial aid materials and the organization of those materials.
- Facilitate and direct calls to other institutional departments.
- Advise students on completing Financial Aid documentation.
- Coordinate appointments for students to meet with Financial Aid Counselors.
- Perform other tasks as deemed necessary for operation of the Financial Aid Office.
- Participate in the annual evaluation of the effectiveness of the Financial Aid Office.
- Enter lines under Document Tracking in CAMS for loan applications.
- Print NSLDS reports for loan processing.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use common office productivity software, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations
- Ability to respect and adhere to the strict confidentiality requirements of the Financial Aid Office
- Ability to make mathematical computations quickly and accurately
- Two (2) years of office experience
- Customer service experience
- Must possess mobility to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment (i.e. computer, copier, scanner, etc.)
- Must have vision to read printed materials and computer screen
- Must have ability to communicate in person and over the telephone
- Must have the ability to carry file boxes and minor office equipment
- Must be able to meet required schedule and perform duties in an on-campus setting.
