Medical Assistant — Part-Time

North Park Family Practice is an independent, hometown medical practice looking for a compassionate, caring, and dependable Medical Assistant to join our talented family of healthcare professionals.
This part-time, Monday–Friday daytime position (mostly 8am to 2pm) will provide a combination of front desk, telephone triage, and direct patient care support. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with patients, works well as part of a team, and is committed to providing excellent, compassionate care.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with the daily care and management of patients
- Supporting the physician with patient care and clinical procedures
- Greeting patients and providing front-desk support (Checking them in and out)
- Answering phones and assisting with patient calls
- Taking and recording vital signs
- Performing routine laboratory procedures and specimen collection
- Administering injections and immunizations
- Performing waived laboratory testing
- Assisting with other clinical and administrative duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Medical Assistant certification or registration is a plus
- Previous medical office experience preferred
- Experience with Epic EHR is preferred
- Knowledge of common insurance requirements is helpful
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Compassionate, professional, and patient-focused approach
- Ability to work effectively as part of a close-knit healthcare team
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check
