Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic, high-performing Territory Manager with experience in selling floor-covering experience in distribution, manufacturing, or retail. This position will have the opportunity to manage and grow the Tampa, Florida territory. This role will work closely with the existing William Bird representatives to grow a profitable market share. The ideal candidate is driven, self-motivating, and has a strong understanding of solution selling approaches. They will integrate closely with internal teams and maximize growth opportunities within the Tampa territory.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Integrate closely with internal teams and maximize growth opportunities within their assigned territory
- Drive profitable business by selling a variety of floor-covering products across various product categories while supporting some of the finest manufacturing names in the industry
- Have the ability and drive to develop personal relationships and turn those relationships into business results
- Must be responsive to customers’ needs by using text, email, and/or phone
- Understand our customer’s business, identify potential solutions, and present those solutions with enthusiasm to the point of adoption
Required & Preferred Skills
- Driven and competitive to excel in exceeding monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
- Essential to excel in a quota driven environment.
- Self-directed professional with an understanding of a solution sales approach and can develop relationships and partnerships.
- Must possess a solid business acumen with the ability to quickly learn about products, understand our customers’ business, and implement effective solutions to drive profitability.
- Excellent communication, organizational and teamwork skills
- Ability to present product offerings in a manner that leads to solution adoption.
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in Business, Sales or related field OR
- 3-5 of experience in floor covering sales is preferred.
