What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist position at William Bee Ririe Hospital?
The Phlebotomist will be responsible for properly identifying patients, drawing, accessioning, handling and processing patient specimens and orders. The candidate is expected to be a representative of the hospital and laboratory at all times, deliver excellent patient service, act as a resource for patient information and strengthen the relationship between patients, facility, providers as well as hospital team members. Collect, accession, and deliver specimens to the testing laboratory as per physician order. Develop effective and efficient collection techniques for all patients from pediatric to geriatric. Maintain an excellent customer service ethic, be organized, clean and efficient. Abide by all Hospital, National, State and Local HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, COLA regulations. Requirements: State of Nevada Laboratory Phlebotomist preferred but not required. Must pass a drug test, and background check to be employed.
