Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of dental procedures including dental examinations, fillings, crowns, bridges, root canal therapy, extractions, and some oral surgery.
- Utilize dental imaging and medical documentation tools such as Dentrix to accurately record patient information and treatment plans.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical and dental history reviews, oral examinations, and diagnosis using appropriate dental terminology.
- Apply aseptic techniques and infection control protocols to ensure a sterile environment during all procedures.
- Educate patients on oral health practices, treatment options, and post-treatment care to promote long-term dental health.
- Collaborate with dental team members in four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency and patient comfort.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of all medical records and patient information.
- Stay current with advancements in dentistry through continuous education and professional development activities.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid state dental license to practice as an Associate Dentist.
- Proven experience in general dentistry; experience with pediatric dentistry, endodontics, or oral surgery is preferred.
- Proficiency in dental software such as Dentrix is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, infection control procedures, and medical imaging techniques.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate treatment plans clearly.
- Familiarity with dental fabrication processes and root canal therapy techniques is a plus.
- Ability to work well within a team environment in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
